Jesaja depicts the year 2024, so crucial to the history of Finland, through the psychological, political and spiritual wanderings of Jesaja Jalonen, a 33-year-old asocial, athletic man who awakens from the state of his life only to be cast into final oblivion while Finland still looks forward to war.

Jesaja is the third full-length feature by Jenni & Lauri Luhta but their first in Finnish language and the first to center on a completely fictional character (played by Lauri Luhta).
